The
construction industry can be a dangerous profession and as such has
some of the highest reported death and injury rates. Last year, 71
construction workers lost their lives whilst at work and 4780
workers were injured. Many more will have required first aid
treatment or time off work due to musculoskeletal
illness.
The
HSE has prioritised the construction industry and is working hard at
helping these companies reduce the rate of death and injury. Part of
the HSE’s strategy is to place a legal duty on construction
companies to provide adequate first aid facilities and manual
handling training to ensure that all staff are kept safe whilst at
work.
Swan
First Aid Services has a full commitment to working with the
construction industry and has established excellent working
relationships with many local and national companies.
All
our first aid and manual handling courses attract CITB grant aid for
appropriate registered companies. |
